Welcome

Welcome to the new look monthly newsletter to keep you up to date with news around the park. Welcome also goes to Ray and Ann Hall, Michael and Sue Lesley and Matty and Denise I’Anson who have recently joined us on the park, we hope you have many happy years with us.

Another great night

A huge thanks to everyone who worked to make our annual bash a huge success, all the gifts donated and the buyers thank you.We again raised a fantastic sum for our charities, £2201 for the Great North Air Ambulance and for St Cuthbert’s Hospice. A great night was had by all and we’re sure you’ll all agree Brenda was a hit! We’ll hopefully be getting some photos on the website soon. We’re already planning next year’s event so watch this space!

Park Home Insurance

We have recently had confirmation from the Environment Agency that we are definitely not in a flood zone; this should hopefully reduce your insurance premiums. It has also been brought to our attention that some residents are paying way over the odds for home insurance. Some paying over three or four hundred pounds! We received a recommendation from Mr Powell for the insurance firm below but if any other residents have managed to gain their home insurance for under £200 please let us know so we can pass on the details. Life sure Group Ltd, www.lifesure.co.uk

We also hope that the health and safety checkups that we are now able to offer to park home owners will be able to further reduce your premiums, more details below.

Health and Safety Checks.

Last year we had to have a compulsory risk assessment carried out on all public areas of the park at a cost of £1,500. As this assessment will need to be repeated in the future we took the decision to send Jack on a two day course to achieve the appropriate qualifications to enable him to carry out future assessments on our behalf. As Jack is now qualified we thought it would be appropriate to offer residents the opportunity to have assessments carried out on their homes. After carrying out the inspections, not only will Jack be able to inform you of any problems with your homes but we will also be able to provide you with a letter stating you have had the checks performed which you can provide to your insurers. To carry out the checks Jack will inspect under and around your homes but will not need internal access. These tests are optional but we hope as many homeowners as possible would take us up on the offer as reducing fire and other possible risks are of benefit to all.

Pie & Pea Supper and Domino night

On Wednesday 8th July there is a domino night and pie and pea supper in the clubhouse. It’s £1.50 for the supper and 50p for the domino handicap with prizes for first, second and third place. All are welcome; if you’d like to join in the fun let Mary know by Sunday the 5th July so she can order the food.
