Touring Park and

Residential Park Home Village.

Welcome to Finchale Abbey on the web we hope after you read about our park you will want to see it all for yourself!!

Finchale Abbey is a family run Touring Park that has been with the current owners since 1951. Set in the heart of the beautiful County Durham countryside, the park lies within a meander of the River Wear and overlooks the ruins of a Benedictine Priory. In 2006 we started transforming the static caravan park into a fully residential park home village.

The peace and tranquility of the Adult Only Touring Park encourages visitors from all over the world to return time and again and is one of the North East premier residential parks.

The park is ideally situated for visiting all of Co Durham's high lights, being less than an hours drive from Sea, Dales, Moor lands, Towns and Cities and only four miles from the historic city of Durham.

Although the park does not generally accept tents onto the touring park we do for large local events, we are currently taking tent bookings for the Great North Run weekend of the 15th September 2013. We are also organising a bus to the event which must be booked in advance.
